For Students
GoKids-Boston also serves as an on-campus ‘lab’ for a variety of UMass students. We have many students from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences department, among other parts of the University that have become involved at GoKids in a variety of functions including:
- research assistants
- interns
- as part of classes
- as part of independent study credit hours
- work study
- volunteers
- All students who would like to work at GoKids must complete a “GoCert”, a certification process that certifies students to be competent in running/using equipment, understanding policies and procedures, and accurately taking various assessments on children. Students cannot work at GoKids with children unless they have completed and passed the GoCert written and practical exams.
- Also, all students must be immunized, have CPR/AED certification and completeD CORI forms.
- Students must also complete the online student registration.
